Gabriel Engelke's Pura Vida Experience!

Carhartt and Nike SB joind forces and sent Gabriel Engelke to the Pura Vida Skatepark in San Isidro/ Costa Rica, where he got involved in the project. Here are some of the memories Gabriel wrote down:

About Costa Rica compared with Europe:
Costa Rica is like beeing sent back to when you where a kid, when everything is possible and you are free to go where you feel like. Here in Europe there are too many rules!
About how he was treated by the locals:
They where the best thing. I was staying at Adolfo Cordero Salazar and his family and i was treated like their own. Adolfo even gave me hes bed. I rejected, but i had no chance.
About how their trip changed the life of the locals:
Seeing and experiencing always changes someting, but this trip had more impact then others. I think the kids there had a really good time with us and when we left you could feel how they where sad. They probebly skate better than me when i’m going back to see them again!
About the rest of the crew:
Don’t write this. Im sorry to say i don’t remember all the names, so let’s try together to fill this in. The main crew was Christian (Petzold) and 2 other German guys. The older one is Arne and the other one Ali. And then the skaters were Jan Kliewer, Hjalte Hallberg, Chet Childress, Al Partanen and me.
I want to say thanx to everybody that took part in the building and for the good vibrations in this project. It was really fantastic!!!
